Ingredients

  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Optional
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional

Method

  1. Add water

Pour cold water into a glass or jar.
  2. Add lemon juice

    Squeeze in fresh lemon juice.
  3. Add sweetener

Add honey or maple syrup. Stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Add salt

Sprinkle in sea salt and mix well.
  5. Optional additions

Add orange juice, mint, or chia seeds if using.
  6. Mix and serve

Stir thoroughly, taste, adjust if needed, and serve immediately or chill before drinking.

Notes

  • Don’t overdo the salt. You’re making a hydration drink, not seawater. Stick to the amount.
  • Stir properly. If you rush this, the honey sits at the bottom and your last sip turns into pure sweetness. Not ideal.
  • Keep it cold. Warm electrolyte drink just feels wrong. Add ice if needed.
  • Adjust sweetness slowly. You can always add more, but you can’t undo it once it’s too sweet.
