Ingredients
Method
Choose and prepare oranges
Select fresh, juicy oranges. Wash them thoroughly and cut each one in half.Extract the juice
Use a manual juicer, citrus press, or your hands to squeeze out all the juice into a bowl or jug.Strain (optional)
Strain the juice using a sieve if you prefer a smoother texture without pulp.Adjust flavor
Taste the juice. Add sugar or honey if needed. Add cold water if you prefer a lighter taste. Mix well.Chill and serve
Pour the juice over ice cubes, stir, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Pick oranges that feel heavy. That’s usually a sign they’re actually juicy and not just looking good from the outside.
- Don’t rush to add sugar. Taste first. Some oranges are naturally sweet enough.
- Add a tiny pinch of salt. It sounds weird, but it balances the sweetness really well.
- Don’t over-squeeze aggressively. That’s how you get bitterness from the white pith.
